Greatest Love of All

I have nothing inspirational to say. My childhood was FILLED with Whitney Houston. I cannot even wrap my head around this devastating loss. I snuck and watched the funeral at work today and just sat there shaking my head in disbelief, feeling like I was being punked. I refuse to remember the bad, only the good. The last time I cried over a celebrity was Michael Jackson; this has been the worst Black History Month I've ever experienced. May God bless her and her family, especially Bobbi Kristina. She will be missed by us all.

Hey ladies!
If you’ve been reading my blog, then you know I wear whatever I want to. I follow my own rules, not so much what society deems “appropriate” for plus size women. I love my skinny jeans, miniskirts, crop tops, jeggings, tank tops, strapless tops and short dresses. For a long time, I thought I could only wear bootcut jeans and basic tops.

WRONG.

With that being said, I wanted to show how I pulled together a look with one of my new favorite tops from Forever21. Gabi, from gabifresh.com, and Franceta, from franticdreams.com, have really inspired me to step outside my box with sheer tops, crop tops and pleats. I bought this late last year and received a lot of compliments on it, with people in shock that I found it from the fastest of fashion stores lol. We’re having out of control “winter” weather here in Texas; it’s been freezing rain one week and then 70 degrees the next. This top can easily be layered under my trusty faux leather moto jacket, or worn by itself over some skinnies or a short, fitted skirt. The rhinestones are a bonus, and I LOVE how the hem dips in the back. The color was the cherry on top!
