Target!

If you know me, then you know I love Target.

Seriously...look through my OOTDs and you will see a trend. I love that place! And with a collab with Jason Wu Feb. 5th and a possible upcoming collab with YSL and Balenciaga, my love grows stronger lol. I went there last Friday with one of my friends and snatched up several items. 3 crop tops (yes, a plus size chick can wear crop tops) and 2 pairs of shoes. I wound up returning the shoes because they were ridiculously high for me and I almost fell trying to break them in around the house. Not cute at all. If you've seen Kevin Hart's "Seriously Funny", then you know what scene popped in my head when my ankle wobbled lol.

I have several high waisted skirts in my closet and some black skinny jeans that I'm thinking about wearing with the crop tops. I replaced the 2 pairs of shoes from there with 2 others from Torrid. I also bought several items from Dorothy Perkins so I'll be doing a review for both brands. Once I finally get around to wearing my crop tops, you KNOW i'll be snapping pics of what they look like on me.

I know I said I would upload what I wore for Christmas..2 weeks ago...whoops!

I went to church with my family that morning and then changed once I got home before we headed to a relative's house for Christmas festivities. I planned on eating a lot of food (LOL) so I made sure I was very comfortable ;-)

Also, in the third outfit I'm wearing one of my most FAVORITE tops. I purchased it from ASOS in November I think. I've worn in 3 or 4 times so far and absolutely love it! I like wearing it tucked in but I also wear it out too. I've paired in with the skirt and skinny jeans as well. The super long pieces in the front for the tie were weird for me to figure out at first but once I realized exactly how to tie it, they worked out. I'm not sure if it's still available online but if so, you should definitely snatch it up! I wore this to one of my friends graduation dinners.

Next up...my Target haul. Hopefully I'll have time later this week to post it. I bought some heels amongst other things but they're so high I may end up returning them lol. We'll see!

Dorothy Perkins Review!

I recently purchased a Dorothy Perkins top after hearing wonderful things about the brand. I wasn't sure about sizing, so I bought the biggest size, which was a US 18/UK 22. I honestly could have gone down a size and been perfectly fine. All in all....

I love my top!

I wore it to my friend's graduation ceremony and absolutely loved the length, feel, quality of fabric and color. It's a beautiful jewel toned purple, and hits me at the perfect length for jeggings or even (super thick) leggings.

I paid full price for it however it has now gone on sale on the website. I'm not sure if they still have the size 18, but if you have a similar shape to myself, you'll be just as fabulous in the size 16. I plan on doing some damage very soon with my Christmas money and discount I have for signing up for their newsletter and making my first purchase. Yay!

That's pretty much how the last few weeks have been lol.

By the time I get home from work, after being on a computer for a lot of the day and talking to people I just wanna SIT and not do anything. It's so hard being on your feet all day!

MY BIRTHDAY WAS LAST WEDNESDAY, THE 12TH. And YES it was a wonderful birthday :)

Anyway...

I have this black, lace, sleeveless dress from Torrid in my closet that I always forget about. I was lazy about my laundry and needed something to wear to work and decided to throw that dress on with some black leggings, pleather boots and a purple 90s grunge-ish top last week. It was weird but in a good way (in my opinion). Everyone liked my dress but idk so much about my combo lol.

On Sunday, I had lunch with my immediate family, and decided to dress up. I had just received my package from Forever21 that day before, so I wore my new black and cream cardigan, periwinkle-ish shirt, skinny jeans and new grey wedges. I love my new cardigan! The shoulders have small pads and it makes the cardigan more fitted and just..amazing.

I got a new job soooo I've been going like the Energizer Bunny since last Wednesday. Luckily, I have Thursdays off so hopefully tomorrow I can do an update on some cute new shoes I bought for work! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. Time for bed :)
